「I think it`s a way to express your own individuality. If you are able to take care of your clothes, cooking, cleaning, you are an individual person. You`re not relying on someone.
You are managing a company, like you`re managing a family. You know how to manage the different situation. You know how to manage multitask. Unfortunately, in Japanese culture, I think 『奥さん』 means 『奥さんがやる』、manage the kids, manage the money, manage the cooking. I just have fun with my car, and I have fun with my work. こうした考え方は、I think, personally, very childish.」

「家事をこなすことは、自分が自立している人間であることを示す手段でもあると思うのです。服の管理や料理や洗濯も自分でできる人が自立した人であり、誰にも頼らずに生きていける人だと。
家族（や家庭生活）をマネジメントできる人は、会社もマネジメントしているものです。自立している人は、困難な状況を乗り越え、様々な課題をうまくこなすことができる人だと思います。
残念ながら、日本では『奥さん』という言葉の意味が『奥さんが全部やる』になってしまっています。子供の面倒を見て、家計をやりくりし、料理もこなす。夫である自分は好きな車の手入れをして、仕事を楽しんでいればいいやと。その考え方は、個人的にはとても幼いと思います」
